Happy people, happy dogs, unhappy sheep...
Loudest I have ever heard the place. The Sheep were saying Baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad haircut! Baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad haircut!

The dogs did their thing rounding up sheep and goats, then split the sheep from the goats but ultimately didn't get the goats to climb the tree trunk as they did last year.

The Sheep Shearing Guy did his thing with a couple shows over the course of the day. After he wrangled them to the shearing station he put them on their backs and they became quite docile.
Woman: "May my children stand in front so the can see?"
Me: "Sure, children and short people are the first line of defense!"
A good sized crowd, not too big but the Bray Farm made some $.

Sounds like a good time had by all. Except the sheep that is. They`ll be grateful for it when the temps soar......

I didn't get there... Saturday was a wash for me and Sunday was a late start and NFL by noon. I'm due for an Autumn ride there soon.

I haven't seen any news coverage of the festival.

From The Register:
Subsurface surprises in Yarmouth
Taylor-Bray artifacts hint at ancient occupation

By Conor Powers-Smith THE REGISTER

YARMOUTH —

“It’s been real surprising,” archaeologist Craig Chartier says of the recently completed digging session at Yarmouth Port’s Taylor-Bray Farm. Artifacts found at this year’s three-week dig are forcing Chartier to revise some of his theories about the site’s use by Native Americans in the millennia before European contact. But surprise, Chartier says, is the one constant in his field. “It happens all the time.”

While earlier excavations had led Chartier to judge the site a strong candidate for a settled Native American village, this year’s dig has revealed evidence of a more transitory, and older, occupation.

“We’re definitely revising our theories,” Chartier says. Most of the artifacts found at Taylor-Bray this year are spearheads and other tools dating back much further than the hypothetical village would explain.
